SECHEUR-OXYDRY · OXYGEN
Introduction
The refrigerated dryer is one of the major components of an oxygen production plant. It condenses a large part of the water contained in the ambient air by lowering the temperature of the compressed air so as to obtain a pressure dew point of 3 °C.
The generator also helps to reduce the pressure dew point, as the molecular sieve is able to adsorb part of the remaining water. Thus, after passing through the refrigerated dryer and the generator, the oxygen produced has a water content compliant with the European Pharmacopoeia: < 67 ppm.
